Metro Vancouver Empty Cradle Bereaved Parents Society is a peer support group offering friendship and understanding to parents who have experienced the loss of an infant or failed pregnancy. Empty Cradle's main goal is to listen and provide support in a safe, caring environment. Patty Lou, a bereaved parent who found no means of support for her losses, founded Empty Cradle in 1991.

Empty Cradle's Peer Support Group meets in New Westminster on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM. These monthly meetings can also be attended via Zoom for those who cannot join us in-person. To receive the Zoom link, please email us. Meetings are led by a facilitator who will share her own experience and encourage other participants to talk about theirs. Newly bereaved parents are not obligated to share their story, but may if they would like. We acknowledge and understand how difficult it can be to attend your first meeting or to make the initial contact.

All bereaved parents are welcome to bring adult family and/ or friends for support. No children, please, due to possible topics of discussion during our meetings.
