This year marks the twentieth anniversary of Empty Cradle providing support to bereaved families. To mark this special occasion, we are holding a screening of the movie "Return To Zero" starring Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting; NBC's About A Boy) and Paul Adelstein (Coop in ABC's Private Practice). This incredible movie relates the story of one couple's experience upon learning their first child is stillborn, and their healing journey through the next turbulent year.

This movie, which is based on the true story of its director couple's stillbirth experience is wonderfully and creatively written. It deals with such topics as the reaction of people in their lives, how they were treated by the medical community, priorities between home and work, stages of grief and emerging into a new accepting 'normal'.

The links below include the official trailer to the movie and the 'director's reel' (a longer more detailed account of the story) interviews with the cast and production team, an interview with Minnie Driver, who plays the lead, about her feelings during this role, and a link to the Return To Zero website, where you can learn more about the movie and order the discussion guide to the movie which is suitable for both individual and group discussions about the movie.

There is no charge for this evening but if you'd like to make a donation it will be used to cover using the facility and clean up afterwards, refreshments and child care.

Whether you are a bereaved parent or family member, a friend who wants more information on how to support a grieving friend, a social worker or a medical caregiver you are welcome to attend this event. Our goal is to share this story with as many people as possible in order to assist families in healing and bring stillbirth out of the shadows and into the light so that no one has to suffer alone.

If you have any questions about the event or our organization, please feel free to contact us or simply click to register.
